Sazerac recipe

Ingredients

  • 60 ml RYE WHISKEY
  • 5 ml ABSINTHE
  • 1 tsp CHILLED WATER
  • 1 dash ANGOSTURA BITTER
  • 3 dashes PEYCHAUD'S BITTERS
  • 2 oz RYE WHISKEY
  • ⅙ oz ABSINTHE
  • 1 tsp CHILLED WATER
  • 1 dash ANGOSTURA BITTER
  • 3 dashes PEYCHAUD'S BITTERS

Preparation

  1. Rinse a chilled glass with Absinthe, remove the excess and set aside
  2. In a mixing glass, soak the sugar cube with the bitters and muddle to crush the cube
  3. Pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice
  4. Stir gently till all ingredients have blended
  5. Strain into the glass
  6. Squeeze a Lemon peel to release the oils over the drink
