The Bramble – A British Cocktail Classic

IBA Cocktail

Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with berry goodness, the Bramble is a British cocktail with a modern twist that's hard to resist.

The Bramble – A British Cocktail Classic

The Bramble is a cocktail that stands out for its bright, refreshing flavours, combining Gin, Lemon Juice, and Crème de Mûre, a blackberry liqueur that adds just the right amount of fruity sweetness. Created in the 1980s, it’s a relatively new addition to the cocktail scene, yet it’s already considered a modern classic.

What makes the Bramble unique is its layered approach: the Gin and Lemon Juice are shaken together and poured over crushed ice, while the Crème de Mûre is drizzled on top, slowly blending as you sip. This creates a beautiful ombré effect in the glass and allows the flavours to evolve as the ice melts.

Whether you’re a fan of fruity cocktails or a Gin enthusiast looking for something new, the Bramble offers the perfect balance of tart and sweet. It’s a drink that feels equally at home in a swanky bar or at a sunny garden party, capturing the spirit of British summertime in a glass.

What a fantastic drink! The crème de mure adds such a unique touch to what would otherwise be a gin sour. Really impressed with how the flavors complement each other.
